Getting the best wedding pics!
19/02/10
I often get asked by clients how they can help me get the best results from their big day. Of course there are so many factors involved, including the lighting, weather, timing of events on the day and so on...however, what really makes a huge difference, is how relaxed the bride and groom are.If the subjects are relaxed, they will react naturally to their surroundings and therefore offer the possibility of me getting more great shots that capture the natural, intimate and spontaneous moments. It's these shots that make the difference between a good album of photos and a really superb one! So here are some tips.
Relax in front of the camera
If you are one of the many people who feels uncomfortable in front of the camera, the best thing to do is for the bride and groom to spend time together with a camera and practice!
Forget about the camera!
Easier said than done I know, but to get the best out of your photography, you have to try to forget the camera is there. As mentioned above, spending time together with a camera will help.
You don't have to prove anything
You already know you love each other, you don't have to act in front of the camera on the day. By acting the way you normally would with each other will mean you get natural photographs.
Check yourself out
Do you ever look at a photograph of yourself and wish you hadn't smiled so hard or equally, wish you hadn't been quite so serious?! Grab a mirror and practice your smile. Find that killer smile and remember how to pull it out of the bag so that on the day it's a natural pose.
